Marty and I will be arriving in Seattle a day before the group starts their Alaskan Cruise and plan to visit the Seattle Space Needle. We invite everyone from the cruise to join us for a Space Needle photowalk and dinner!
Here are the instructions to get from the hotel to the Space Needle:
The Light Rail is a Train System that brings you from the Airport into Downtown Seattle. The Fare is $5.50 for a Day Pass and the Travel Time is about 35 Minutes. The Trains run about every 15 Minutes until midnight. In Downtown Seattle you change to the Monorail which brings you direct to the space needle. The Fare is $2.25 one way.
Here is the Link Rail web site: http://www.soundtransit.org/Schedules/Central-Link-light-rail.xml
And the Monorail web site: http://www.seattlemonorail.com/
I thoroughly enjoyed this shoot and thank Ken and Elton for providing the full moon.

Did anyone realize that Friday is the full moon? It's also a Blue Moon. I say we rechristen this whole adventure as the Blue Moon Tour.

Our flight gets to SeaTac at 3pm, and we are staying in downtown Seattle. Do you mind emailing me your number so that I can call you once we get there and catch up with you guys. Thanks

Just as a confirmation (sorry) you say Night shoot, space needle and dinner, could you please confirm the time as it says 1pm. thanks.
August 27
With the schedule changes by the F2 Photo School folks, I changed the title of this event to reflect what we will actually be doing on Friday night. Hope to see you guys there!
August 26
Hope to catch up with you all later in the evening for Pikes Market, if not, see you on the ship. Flight arrives Seattle at 2:30pm.
August 22
A note about Friday Night in Seattle. The F2 Photography School have decided to host an additional night-time photoshoot in Seattle the night before we sail. The timing conflicts with our per-arranged Space Needle Tour and Dinner. More details should be coming from F2 via facebook as they solidify the plans. Stay tuned for details from them! :)

Bassel, thanks for the tip. We may have time to do both, I'll certainly look into it!

As former residence of Washington State (will not be on the cruise). May I suggest Pike Place as a much more interesting photo location. Space Needle is nice but Pike place is a must for any Seattle visitor. I joined this group a while ago but I'm sorry to say that I did not get the chance to participate in a walk yet. Hopefully soon. Have fun in one of my favorite cities (along with Portland) I still visit about once a year.
