We meet at the Danny Jackson dog park which has separate sections for large and small dogs, covered benches, wading pools, and it is completely fenced in. This will be our meeting location for a long time.

Monthly round up of your neighborhood pugs (and FOP (friends of pugs)) and their humans. You can expect to see more and more pugs at each event as the summer heat subsides and the cool winter weather comes in.

Danny Jackson Dog Park on Westpark (near Newcastle).

Location: Just inside the loop and just South of 59 - under the power lines, on Westpark Drive between Loop 610 and Loop Central.

Amenities: Large and small dog seperate areas each with a pond, new trees, benches, walking path and beside it a regular children's playground will be added.

More information and a MAP of the park can be found here:

Hi, This will be my first time at this dog park with my pug LadyHawk. and there is a very nice gentleman who will be a guest at the meet up. His name is Bruce Reed. He has recently relocated with his job from Michigan down here and about 3 weeks ago he lost his precious pug girl very suddenly & he was not there when she passed. He really wants some pug company & I told him I would meet him here so he could get some pug lovin'. She was 8 years & 8 months old.

It is getting really hot now and they can stay not too long in the park. We should start having the meetings later in the afternoon to enjoy our time in the meeting longer. The sun at noon is just too hot for pugs. I suggest a late afternoon meeting. If someone decided that dont want to bring in the morning because of the heat, bring yoru puppy at 5:30 and we still can play with the light, but not with the heat!
