I remember in second grade, the teacher would turn off the lights to restore order to the class room. One moment, the students would be jumping on the desks and flying paper air plains. The teacher would walk over to the switch, CLICK lights off. We where frozen. We could not move of talk. It was eerie. We had been programed. Sometimes, the teachers would show the trick off to the parents. The parents thought that it was neat, but it did not work when they tried it at home. It only worked in the class room. maybe it was connected with the lights being off when we would watch movies in the class rooms. Watching movies was a reward and the shock of the lights being turned off was a punishment.
