Our goal is to provide group activities for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) community where individuals can meet others and have great conversation. Sometimes you just want to meet other members of the community without having to go to a dance party or bar. And sometimes, you want to do just that, but it’s intimidating to strike up conversations with random strangers. With our activities, you will be able to socialize with friendly, like-minded people in fun, low-pressure environments where conversation and connection is key. We’re here to build community first and foremost, but hopefully, that will lead to some dates.
There is no age requirement for our group, except that you're over 18 of course. Our members range from 20 to 70 y.o. We're all about making friends first and enjoying the company of other LGBTQ Singles and doing wonderful activities throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Cool couples are welcome to attend our great events as well.
To keep our events low cost or FREE, we ask for volunteers to organize and host events. It’s easy: (1) choose an activity that you would like to do and pick a day & time to do it (at least 2 weeks in advance please), (2) determine where to meet and how people can find you once they get to the location (e.g. bring balloons, wear a loud Hawaiian shirt, or bring name tags, etc.) Then send us all the details and we’ll post the event to the group, (3) show up at least 15 minutes early and if there’s food or drinks involved, let the staff know that you have a meetup group coming and everyone is doing separate checks (estimate 50% attendance).
Benefits to volunteers: (1) you get to do the activities you want, when you want to do them, (2) you will attract the people who enjoy the same activities you do, who live/work near you and/or who have a similar work-play schedule that you do, and (3) you will meet and mingle with a lot of people as everyone looks to the organizer/host to lead the group. Most volunteers don’t stay single for long. So don’t hesitate to contact us, the group organizers, if/when you’re ready to host an event.
