Movies in the Park, Back to the Future

Huntsville Historical Foundation is presenting "Movies in the Park" on three Friday nights this summer. On July 26, August 9 and 23 at sundown (8:30-45pm) in Big Spring Park behind the Huntsville Museum of Art, HHF will show a different movie free for the whole community to enjoy. HHF is organizing this event to support efforts to help animate downtown with fun, free, family-friendly entertainment. Bring your chairs and blankets to make this a special family outing!

Since our members and friends have such excellent taste and astute artistic sensibilities, we asked for their help in choosing our movie selections. In addition to an online survey, we also had visitors at the June 20 Sidewalk Arts Stroll to drop their movie votes into a giant mason jar. We received over 800 votes, and we are so excited about the movies that were selected. It was a close race between Singin' in the Rain and To Kill a Mockingbird, but Mockingbird pulled ahead by 12 votes. So without further ado, here are the results!
