Nativity Concert Series: Shonda Devine, Soprano

Shonda Devine will hold a solo recital from the classical African American repertoire with compositions by Nkeiru Okoye, John Carter, How Leslie Adams, Undine Smith Moore, and Betty Jackson King. Curtis Lindsay will be her accompanist.

For more information about Diva Devine, go to her website at:

Also, you can  hear her perform Summertime on Youtube:              (Make sure you put your good crystal in a safe place).

All concerts and services are free and handicap accessible.

For those of you who want to make sure we sit together, lets meet at Sam and Gregs prior to the concert and walk over to the church.  Let me know if you want to do this; otherwise, I'll be holding a pew, usually center left or right and approximately 6-8 rows down (best acoustics).  Because of the nature of the activity, seating cannot be reserved so please arrive shortly after 4:30.

Meetup and its organizers are not affiliated with Church of the Nativity for Meetup activities.  Organizers are not paid to host events.  We are volunteers who want to let others know what's going on in and around Huntsville and to offer an opportunity to see, do, and experience a variety of activities and events.

You're not kidding! I'm paddling early but hope to be home in time to attend. Shonda is a local girl who has done well. She has a beautiful voice and a wonderful personality.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
