All kayaking trips in Rhode Island are subject to changed based on weather. You will be placed on a waiting list and added manually until August 15th. I cannot be assured of communications available at the campsite. If you surprise us and come, hey great! However, do not complain if we cancel and you do not hear about it.
Some what projected details:
Level 2 Participants should be able to: Paddle 6 miles in a day. Perform a wet exit. Maintain a heading for short distances without the use of a rudder. Turn a kayak using forward and reverse sweep strokes. Or it can turn into Level Six if you try to ride the surf... Narrow River. Helmets are strongly recommended if you plan on surfing in your kayak. Changes and cancellations to trips will be posted on the flatwater message board. Please check the board before leaving for any trip. To ensure parking it is suggested that you arrive at the put-in before 9:30 am. We are meeting at the beach, not the put-in. When launching, put-in and paddle to the right, after a few miles you will see the beach at the mouth of the river. This is a club event and open to flatwater and Blackstone paddlers, sea kayakers, white water boaters. Bring a lunch, sunscreen and plenty of water.
