What is your genre?

I write fiction, but have written and enjoy writing nonfiction, as well.

Are you published or unpublished?

I have a published reading book for middle grade students and countless newspaper stories and columns.

Have you ever participated in a workshop?

Never. And am really looking forward to it.

Who are your favorite writers? What was the last book you read?

I am reading "Light This Candle," a biography of Alan Shepard by Neal Thompson. Before that, I was on a Pete Hamill kick and read his memoir, "A Drinking Life," "Downtown," and his newest book, "Tabloid City." I love Cynthia Kaplan's "Why I'm Like This," and anything by Anne Lamott and Anna Quindlen.

Hi there. I was a teacher, reporter, columnist, and now I work as a senior editor in NYC. I have written a 95,000-word novel and am looking for an agent. In the meantime, I've started writing another book and I try to blog everyday.
