Lets go climbing at The Rock Club with Cavers Adventure Seekers & Hikers (cross-posted event)
Location: The Rock Club 130 Rhodes Street, New Rochelle, NY
When: We will start our climb at 7:00 pm If you have ever wanted to try rock climbing for the first time, or if you're a pro, this is the place to do it! If possible try and be there a bit early so you can get set up with all the gear you need.
Transportation: Conveniently located minutes from the Metro-North station! Metro North New Haven Line train to New Rochelle; then 15 minute walk to TRC
Cost: Day Pass: $18
Shoes- $ 4.50
Harness- $ 4.50
Belay device & Carabiner $ 2.00
Chalk Bag- $2
Full Gear Kit- $10
We will have a discounted rate $18 per person and that will include the day-pass, harness rental, shoe rental, and ATC/Carabiner rental. Any members with their own gear the day-pass will be $15. Just mention Hikers, Cavers and Rock Climbers when you check in and you’ll get the discount. You will also be eligible for discounted belay lessons if anyone is interested. Highly recommended if you are not familiar with Belaying.

The Rock Club in New Rochelle is a spacious rock climbing gym with
15,000+ sq ft of climbing terrain.
Walls up to 40 feet and routes over 60 ft.
70 top ropes & 18 lead-only stations.
Over 170 routes and even more bouldering..
Folks must be(come) belay certified at this gym. Obtaining belay certification is a matter of passing a simple 15 minute test proving you know how to handle the rope / not dropping your climber
