I don't think you meant this for me, Heidi, but I got it. See you May 11th.

FYI, Nancy Gardner has mentioned to me that there is generous room available, through her, for free at the Manor at Woodside if you plan a future swap. I have been to an all day scrap there in the past...very spacious, good lighting, kitchen facilities, too.

Cheers!

Joyce

What does null order mean?  Just FYI, celery isn't retiring.  Right now we have 3 yes and 3 maybe (you are under maybe).  I need to firm up the numbers this week.  I'm crazy prepping for Buffalo this weekend, so I'll add that to my "catch up" list.

I RSVP maybe - I am making a bunch of recipe cards for Syracuse and I could easily make a few more for your swap... Will it be less then 6? I need to russell up more certainly celery - don't want to buy more since  I think it is retiring : (

I also think I would like to get the holder so null order me one....
I have surprise for you from an old IBM friend so I look forward to getting up to see you!

Announcing a new Meetup for The Hudson Valley Rubber Stamps Meetup Group!

What: 6x6" Recipe Card Swap

When: Tuesday, May 11,[masked]:30 PM

Where:
Heidi's house
6 Durocher Terrace
Poughkeepsie, NY 12603
(845)[masked]

Is anyone interested in a 6x6" recipe card swap? I'd be happy to host one, and we could make it a tasting gathering too, if you bring samples of your recipe! Here is a link to my first 6x6" recipe card (3rd project): http://runningwscissorsstamper.blogspot.com/2010/02/more-binghamton-swaps.html. There are many more samples on Splitcoaststampers.com.

My friend near Utica sells 6x6" page holders, which work with large binder rings and Stampin' Up's 6x6" page protectors (the ring-bound pages, not post-bound). These are great for the recipe pages, since it stands on it's own, and the pages are protected from the kitchen messes. If you are interested in a holder, please let me know by Thursday, April 29, and I can get a supply from her ($10 each). Picture here: http://www.meetup.com/Hudson-Valley-Rubber-Stamps-Meetup-Group/photos/873475/.

Rules for the swap - bring enough completed 6x6" recipe pages for everyone participating. Your recipe page should be make from sturdy cardstock (SU quality), at least two layers, and one embellishment. Bringing a sampling of your recipe is not mandatory, but encouraged!

What else should we do that night? Feel free to bring along a small project to share with the group, if you like... little notecard... small 3D item... etc. Again, not mandatory. Just something to do while we visit and chat and eat. Please bring your own adhesive to this event.

I will close sign-ups one week before the swap, so we all have time to make the recipe pages.

Please let me know if you have more suggestions for the event. Thanks and looking forward to swapping and trying some tasty treats!
