A Mid-month, Mid-week meeting

Amendment, as I mentioned elsewhere, I'm going to go to the South parking area.  I'll probably bring some water or such, maybe a few camp chairs, and a book to read if I have to wait while listening to the Bridge Music.   ~ ~ ~   - I was able to edit the Google map and move the marker by the benches starting about 300 feet north of the Poukhkeepsie Ice House.  I might check out the pavilion on the river a few hundred feet north of that to see if it is open in case of rain.

    Sorry I missed you, Arthur. We looked for you at the large covered space at the top of the park, and I walked down to the parking lot at the foot of Main Street but didn't see you. What would the meeting have been about?

      Hi Shaun, I posted a note to Carol and Paul that was too long for these boxes in Benjamin's Discussion "Logical Fallacies and Cognitive Biases". The length was generated by your ? above. I'm toying with the idea of a Kingston meeting next Thursday with a subject. Cheers, Arthur.

    Shaun, Paul & I arrived 15 minutes late and couldn't find any others. We had an interesting conversation and enjoyed the weather and the view

      Sorry to miss you. Arthur and I were conversing down near the south parking area until after 8pm. Maybe I'll see you next time.

      Hi Carol & Paul, Due to space restrictions I posted a note to you on Benjamin's most recent Discussion.

    Sorry I can't make it but I'm glad this new meet up is going to work out for several people. Enjoy! {Fun, unrelated side note about this location: Vic Waryas, who the park was named after, was my great uncle (my grandmother's brother).}

    Morning Benjamin and Jan, My initial post (at the bottom here) should have indicated that the additions and edits would be in the Discussion section where there is more room to write and broad editing functions. Cheers, Arthur

    P.S. In the Discussion section I mention my intention to meet in the South which avoids the goose droppings.

    I'm an official maybe. I'm new to the group, and Saturdays in Poughkeepsie don't typically work for me, so was happy to see another day added.

    These comment fields are limited in the # of characters and the functionality so I am going to add and edit in a new discussion.

    Thanks, for initiating this meeting Arthur. It looks like I may not have Saturday mornings available for some time to come, so I appreciate another option. Look forward to seeing you there.

    Dan has been told that an evening meeting would be better for some. His schedule doesn't allow the time at the moment but mine does. So I'm going to suggest June 19th from 6 'till we're done. A personal review of my last half year with the Skeptics.

    Dan has initiated this group under the rubric (ocher as a writing material [for headlines] ) of Skeptisim. I come to this group with a desire to improve my Linguist Analysis, although without an academic overlay. Forty years ago when my primary credentials were fresh, I would have adhered to Phenomenology if pressed for a category. Others have come as Humanists, Atheists and Rationalist.

    Over the last few months, I've tried to learn more about how this site works and how various folks might use it. It's late now. I think I can add to and edit this piece over the next few days. Cheers, Arthur
