Hike Mt. Beacon

Mt. Beacon has some of the best views in the Hudson Valley. The trip is 1 mile, but has 1000 ft in elevation so it may not be for everyone.

To give you an idea of what the terrain is like, see the pictures I took there last year:

and for the trail path & elevation: http://www.meetup.com/Hudson-Valley-Walking-and-Hiking/photos/18133732/

You should bring good hiking boots, some water, and some lunch or a snack for once we get to the top.

Hi John - I've been running ragged at work and haven't had time to get back to you. If you have any questions, email me directly (or via the Meetup group). I'll answer any questions via email that are sent before 10AM tomorrow.

I changed my RSVP due to the potential for thunderstorms. I look forward to next time!

So 2 cancelled. .does that mean I am going?

    April 24, 2014

    • Paul C.

The meetup site automatically shifts people from the wait-list to the 'yes' group as room frees up. I'm not sure 'how' it determines, but I assume it is in the order people RSVPed.

I'm going to fix this for this event shortly - check your email for an update.

No worries Katherine - I appreciate you changing your RSVP and hope your family weekend is fun.

Thanks Paul I really did want to go but Mt. Beacon will always there. Seeing my nieces ages 7, 5, and 2 along with the rest of my family is priceless to me.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
