On Monday we will be working with thoughts as the object of meditation. This is a practice that will be new to many of you and offers benefits in every area of our lives.
For those of you who missed the session this week, we practiced pain and physical discomfort as the object of meditation along with walking meditation. The practice is similar to working with physical sensations in the body and resting the attention lightly on an area of discomfort. This can easily be combined with walking meditation where you place the attention on the body as it moves, without blocking whatever arises in your awareness.
