I do agree with Hal. And the light-hearted chat at the post-restaurant meeting did appease my intellectual appetite as well. ~~Thanks, Mary C. :)

I was impressed with the crowd and how well the meeting was run. Too bad we left without a definitive answer. Most of us, I think, agree that the main purpose is to be happy and make others so in this life, the only one we will ever know.

    Just for fun:
    >I'm going to bring supertaster strips for anyone that wants to test themselves:

    >If someone asks, I'll share what I "discovered" as the reason for human existence (not the real question btw).

    >I'm bringing steve's espresso (french press coffee) and we can make bulletproof coffee as a cognitive enhancer:

I've never tested brain foods; but it sounds easy to do double blind experiments combining different foods and standardized testing.

My take: Under the corporate governmental system the purpose of life has been reduced to an individualistic self-hood of entitlement.
Its institutionalization has squelch our sense of community as social beings as born from nature--a society where each one is aware of each other’s contribution to promote one’s existence in accordance with the development of their society--and developed further when necessary. However, in the former, one’s success belongs to the individual’s driven purpose—something that can’t be denied. Therefore, the more money and possessions one has the more one is praised and uplifted for emulation. Thanks for listening…Mary

That is an interesting point Mary; it makes me think of the question:
What do certain entities define as the reason for human existence?
      churches
      cultures
      social groups
      humanists
      etc.

Tech support at EMC World event at the Venetian. Some kind of data storage and recover thing. Might actually interest me. More so than the corn distillers convention in Illinois.
