Strategic Grocery Shopping Workshop

Would you like to coupon shop but not quite sure how? Interested in saving money on your grocery shopping? Join us for our first ever Strategic Grocery Shopping Workshop!

We will be offering a coupon workshop for HSGP members and friends who are interested in using strategic shopping to either make better use of their own grocery budget or to help local charities.

Admission is free, independent of Membership at HSGP. However, we suggest you bring a non-perishable item (preferably a healthy protein source such as peanut butter or canned/dry beans) or some bottled water for our Tumbleweed water/food donation drive.

Not only will you will strategies to help with your own grocery bills, you can learn to shop smart to help your favorite local charities! HSGP supports and volunteers with St. Marys Food Bank Alliance and Tumbleweed Center for Youth Development. Both these organizations are in dire need of some items that coupon shoppers throughout the Valley can get for very cheap or even free. Some big wish list items include peanut butter, bottled water, canned soups/chili, and healthy shelf stable or canned foods.

You'll learn myths and truths about couponing, how coupons work, how much you can really save, where to find coupons, how to easily organize your coupons to save time and energy when shopping, store policies for coupons, and where and how to use your coupons to maximize savings. There are numerous local bloggers who make this information available for free to anybody who is interested in saving money for their family or utilizing their couponing skills to help others.

Drinks and snacks will be provided. Feel free to bring something to share if you like!

What to bring:

-Any coupons you might have, independent if you want to use them for yourself or might want to share with others.
