Walk-in Family Art Workshop: Jeff Falk, "Working from Life"
Free workshop in the Gallery, Tempe Center for the Arts
Artists and art novices will find this found object workshop fun and creative. Participants will use recycled materials, paper and drawings to create their own animal collage based on photographs and personal experiences with animals. Falk will share personal stories about growing up in Kansas in the 1960s and the animals and imagery that has influenced his art making and ideas. Falk has lived in Phoenix for most of his adult life and has been a leader in the Phoenix art community for many years. (All ages. Approximately 30 minutes) Free admission, no RSVP needed.

This family-oriented exhibition features animal-themed works by local and national artists. The exhibition celebrates animals from across the world. TCA is incorporating outreach programs and Saturday art workshops with local artists and organizations such as Phoenix Zoo, which will display photographs of favorite zoo animals, including Ruby the Elephant.
