Volunteering at St Mary's Food Bank

St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance, the world's first food bank, is a non-sectarian, nonprofit organization that alleviates hunger by efficiently gathering and distributing food to sites that serve the hungry. Serving two-thirds of Arizona's 15 counties, the organization is committed to volunteerism, building community relationships and improving the quality of life for Arizonans in need.

Want to help even more? HSGP is aiming to be named a Hunger Hero, which means we have volunteered at St. Mary's three times this year, donated $1,000, and donated 1,000 lbs of food. If you'd like to help us reach this goal, consider bringing some healthy food to donate (bottled water, peanut butter, canned or dry beans, or other healthy foods are always needed). We are currently at about 200 lbs donated. Each Volunteer, youth and adult, will need to complete a release form. Release forms can be found under the "More" tab at the top of the page, in the section labeled "files". If you have volunteered with us at St. Mary's before, you do not need to fill out the form again.

Details for the day:

Parking is limited on some days due to activity at their campus locations. Let’s try to carpool as much as possible. East Valley volunteers, I'll be in southwest corner of the parking lot of AZ Mills Mall on I-10 and US-60 (behind Joe's Crab Shack) at 11:15, to leave at 11:30 for carpooling.

Due to Health codes and safety reasons, a required dress policy is in effect! Volunteers MUST wear Closed Toe Shoes, Shirts need to be short or long sleeved (No tank tops, spaghetti straps, etc.) and Shorts are okay. Please leave valuables, purses or backpacks in your vehicle for your safety and security! St. Mary’s Food Bank is not responsible for lost and/or stolen items brought into our facilities! Stay alert at all times— Please DO NOT operate Cell Phones or IPods on the volunteer floor!

Please RSVP so we have an accurate count.

Aside from closed-toe shoes and the volunteer forms, do we need to bring anything else on Saturday? Something to drink? Thanks!

Wearing my "GOOD WITHOUT GOD " tshirt has been a gas !! Yes, I notice the startled looks and have had some interesting conversations = It is helping me cope and handle believers comments... I suggest that if you have the freedom from job and relations = =
PLEASE indulge in the enjoyment - -it is fun even in the grocery stores = =
MORE IMPORTANT = the more that non god believers are seen as everyday and normal humans the sooner we might have effect on the powers that control our society.. COME AND JOIN THE MOVEMENT TO NORMALIZE AND PUBLICIZE GOD NONBELIEVERS =

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
