Dianne Post

Over the past 26 years, Ms. Post has worked in over 14 countries to design and implement fundamental legal, policy and programmatic reform on issues related to gender equality. Post works with vulnerable populations, especially women and children, in developing, transitional and developed countries to achieve their human rights and freedom from violence.

In addition to gender issues, Post has worked intensely on issues of discrimination related to African-Americans and the Roma in Europe. She works with governments, foreign aid agencies, and other partners to create, reform or implement laws, train actors in the government and criminal justice sectors and empower vulnerable populations.

Dianne mentioned that she had complained in July about the County Board of Supervisors starting meetings with a prayer, and not yet gotten a response. I'd like the details again, so that I can know what I'm talking about when I contact my Supervisor.

By the way, you can find out which District you're in here:

and Supervisors can be emailed from here:

There were way more than 25 Humanists in attendance. There were 70-75 people. They just didn't all rsvp on Meetup!

I totally reversed how I viewed prostitution, (and what I call those involved in the trade!). EXCELLENT! I think we are not members and need to be....we are FFRF and also need to be Humanists.

Donna and Al, We would love to have you as new members. We have a few who are also members of FFRF and other organizations. And I'm glad you enjoyed the presentation! Btw, it changed my perspective as well!

Dianne Post gave a lot of great information, convincing me, and I think many others, to change my ideas about how to deal with prostitution.
