Currently residing in Boston, Andrew Schiller is a young, energetic jazz bassist and composer. Over the past decade, he’s performed frequently in a variety of musical genres on both upright and electric bass. He is now working towards a master’s degree in jazz performance at New England Conservatory. Having studied with bass giants such as John Clayton, Dave Holland, and John Lockwod, he has developed a well-rounded and unique approach to the instrument. In 2012, Andrew was recognized in Downbeat Magazine for his work as a soloist. He was recently selected to perform at the Panama Jazz Festival with an NEC Honors Ensemble in January.
January 8, 2013- During a short stay in the Valley, Andrew is reuniting with Phoenix-based group, Running from Bears.
