Below is the announcement, in Limerick form (written by Zenaido Quintana and read by Mike Franklin at our last Sunday Speaker meeting), for our next Humanities Project meeting this Friday, July 20 at the HSGP Humanist Community Center. Enjoy!

The first half of the Humanities Project meeting will be given over to the reading of favorite limericks and haikus, some original! The most popular original limerick and haiku will be published in the HSGP newsletter and Facebook! So bring your favorites, and write a few, if you desire.

The 2nd part of the meeting will consist of planning future meetings and events. I think we have a lot to talk about at this one!

A few goodies will be provided. Additional snack donations will be happily appreciated and eaten!

The Humanities Project will meet

On July 20th here in this suite

From 7 to 9

So Please be on time

I’m sure you will find it a treat

Limericks and Haikus we’ll recite

Our own and what others may write

Both clean and risqué

Clever and Oy vey!

There’ll be drinks and nibbles beside

So we hope that you will all be there

Bring a poem, drink or nibble to share

Limerick or Haiku

Some may be about you
