Hi Everyone!
Here is a request to help HSGP create enticing and interesting baskets to use in our Solstice Celebration!
Instead of an auction this year, HSGP will be raffling high quality themed “baskets” as part of our annual Winter Solstice fundraiser.
Do you have unique new or like new items that would be perfect for someone else?
Will you purchase one or more of the items suggested below to donate:

Rainy Reading Day
 New or like new interesting books
 Bookstore gift cards
 Gourmet snacks for reading
 Beautiful unique bookmark
 Book light
 Comfy throw blanket or pillow
 Other related items to make a gorgeous reading basket
Native Arizona Basket
 Products created in Arizona
 Gift cards to local businesses and restaurants
 Books about Arizona
 Tickets to Arizona sporting or cultural events
Wine Lover Extravaganza
 Magnum or bottle of wine
 Gourmet snacks and sweets for wine tasting
 Cute napkins
 Book about wine
 Wine accessories
 Gift card to wine store
 Other related items to make a wonderful wine basket

The suggested collections above are just some possibilities of the baskets we might be able to create from your donations (and, hopefully, donations from local businesses).
We also plan to have a Patriotic Basket related to the Constitution and Bill of Rights including a DVD set of Bob McWhirter lectures related to various amendments.

The baskets will be on display during the Winter Solstice Celebration on December 18th from 12-4 pm. Raffle tickets will be sold at upcoming HSGP events and during the Solstice Party.

Please bring donations (along with donation form) to Rebecca Beltran or Anita Romanowski.
There will also be an option of bringing donations to the Humanist Community Center on Saturday, November 19, from 1:00 p.m. to 3.00 p.m.
Thank you!

By the way.. we already have a beautifully creation donated to us for the Raffle. We have an awesome “Baking Cake” from Kathy H.
She included some great items like: cake mixes, piping bags, food color, dessert decorations, vanilla, measuring cups and spoons, a cookie jar, cake pans, spatulas, cook books, sprinkles, metal whisk and kitchen towels.
Are there any bakers out there who would love to win this in a raffle?

Ok! we have sold our first "advance sale" raffle tickets! Thanks Kelly and Kerri! They are being sold in advance for 5 tickets for $20 or 1 ticket for $5. You don't have to be present to win at the raffle- just put your address label and phone number on your tickets and we'll call to tell you if you have won! If you're not able to come to the solstice party, you could even have someone drop your prepared raffle tickets for you!
As we get more of the raffle items together.. I'll see if I can post pictures here. Thanks for all of your support!
