Humanist Society of Greater Phoenix (HSGP) Message Board › Message from our Membership Committee Chair, Anita Romanowski
We would like to encourage those of you who have not yet visited our Community Center in Mesa to come join us for a meeting or special event. Our twice-monthly speaker presentations are always interesting, provocative, entertaining and informative.
Most of the members of HSGP joined the group because we feel as if we're drowning in a sea of unreason and superstition. We crave the camaraderie of people with whom we can share intelligent conversation with non-judgmental exchanges of ideas and opinions. If you fit this description, please consider becoming a card-carrying member of our enlightened and enlightening group.
We hold various exciting and various events including:
· Inquiring Minds - will afford you the opportunity to voice your opinions and views on many controversial and current social subjects.
· Humanities Project - presentations involving art, music, the performing arts.
· Book Club discussion. Read the chosen book, come talk about it.
· Parties and fundraisers involving pot luck meals with wine and beer (byo of course)
Take a look at the website for a list of upcoming events, http://hsgp.org/...
We urge you to attend any or all of our events at the wonderful member supported Community Center that we opened in December of 2010.
Come be among the intelligent, like-minded, eclectic, intelligent, opinionated, learning hungry, free-thinking , reality-based community that is HSGP.
Bring the kids along on Sundays during the school year to attend the weekly Odyssey of the Mind program.
