HCCO Holiday Blood Drive

It's that time of year again...when snow dusts the trees and music is in the air...and HCCO hosts its Holiday Blood Drive!  We'll be operating our own drive in the HCCO conference room from 2pm - 8pm.  Come donate blood and enjoy tasty snacks, hot tea and cocoa! If you cannot donate, come and cheer on those who can while helping fill one of the on-site blood drive volunteer roles.

The need for blood donations is constant, but the supply is often lower during the holiday seasons as workplace- and church-sponsored drives are interrupted by the holidays. This is a time when you can really make a difference and show that we are in fact good without god.

Learn more about who's eligible to donate and make an appointment at the Red Cross website.  Please use the sponsor code "humanist" to find our drive.

Or email [masked] with your preferred donation time between 2pm and 8pm on Tuesday, 12/17, and we'll make an appointment for you.

Interested in volunteering at the drive?  Comment here or email Lyz and we'll get you set up!

I just confirmed that we'll have Starbucks coffee, cookies and cranberry bliss bars to round out the usual snack lineup. I'm working to get hot cocoa as well. What more could you want for a holiday blood drive?

We are looking for a few volunteers to help on the day of the drive, either with check-ins or the snack area. Please email [masked] if you can commit to a few hours.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
