The Book of Mormon, that blasphemous, 9 Tony Award winning musical by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, is coming to Columbus!
Come see it with your fellow humanists!
We are ordering group tickets (orchestra, exact seats to be determined when we place the order) so we may sit together. Due to the popularity of this musical, we need to order tickets as soon as possible. We must receive your RSVP and payment by 9am 12/30/13. Our group order will be placed on 12/30/13. We will not be able to add anyone after this date.
This is the perfect opportunity to ask Uncle Sagan for Book of Mormon tickets underneath your Solstice Shrub.
If for any reason this event is cancelled BEFORE we place our ticket order, we will offer refunds. Once the group ticket order is placed, there will be no refunds. We will also not be able to add tickets after our order is placed.
We are also planning to have dinner together afterwards at 5pm at Manifesto. Please RSVP to the separate dinner meetup so Ed may make appropriate reservations.
The Book of Mormon
The Book of Mormon is a religious satire musical. The show lampoons organized religion and traditional musical theatre, reflecting the creators' lifelong fascination with Mormonism and musicals.
The Book of Mormon tells the story of two young Mormon missionaries sent to a remote village in northern Uganda, where a brutal warlord is threatening the local population. Naïve and optimistic, the two missionaries try to share the Book of Mormon, one of their scriptures—which only one of them has read—but have trouble connecting with the locals, who are more worried about war, famine, poverty, and AIDS than about religion.
