Chris Kluwe at the McConnell Arts Center

"Chris Kluwe made national headlines in September 2012, not for his performance as punter for the Minnesota Vikings, but for an open letter he wrote lambasting a Maryland state assembly delegate for attempting to stifle the opinion of a fellow NFL player who spoke out in favor of same-sex marriage. Kluwe's book, Beautifully Unique Sparkleponies, released last year, is a collection of personal essays ranging from marriage equality and religion to guns, football and more."

Chris Kluwe strongly supports "rational empathy" and will be a guest speaker for the American Atheists 2014 Convention.  More information about Chris Kluwe is available following this link:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Kluwe

There will be a reception at 6:00 p.m. offering "wine, food, and lively conversation" with Chris Kluwe. Then Chris Kluwe's presentation starts at 7:00 p.m.

Tickets are $10.00 for adults. Tickets can be purchased in person at the McConnell Arts Center, by phone at[masked], or online. Discounts are available for members of the Friends Foundation of Worthington Libraries, Friends of the Columbus Metropolitan Library, and McConnell Arts Center.

I'm bringing Jessica, Jordan, two of their friends, and I think another friend. If anyone wants to sit with us, we're in rows D & E, seats 6, 7, 8, each, I think. -Sharon
