Hi......Linda here..........
What can I say....? I'm a playful adult who has close friends, however, most are on the west coast. I'm a retired special educator who now works in my other profession, speech-language pathology. I'd like to develop new friendships with like-minded people who share my interests and theirs.
Yes.....I have been attending Ron Gross's Socrates Cafe for the last 2+ years.
i would think so........

Welcome to our laughter group - the largest in the city with over 10,000 attendees over the years. Drop in for a good laugh any Wednesday. No jokes and comicry, no tickling - you'll be amazed how the inner laughter sweeps you away!
Hi Linda,
Welcome to Death Cafe'. I'm so sorry for your losses. I hope the experience of the group and the ensuing discussion will help you in your grief.
Hi again Linda, Sorry your other question didn't fully register with me. The venues, so far to my knowledge have been access friendly, but I suggest before RSVPing that you check either with me or with the Event Host/Organizer if it's someone other than myself putting the event together.
Linda, classes and events vary. Some are free, some are fee-based. Depends. Invitations will include the details. Look forward to seeing you at a meetup. Best, Zorka
Linda, WELCOME! We will be announcing a meetup soon so please do make a point to join us when we meet! BTW: Our meetings will be set-up as brief workshops, followed by a gathering of new friends.

Have a great day, Love and light Laura Schwalm-Anthony![]()
Linda, meeting good, but no WC access @ either place.
Linda hi, I also used to live in SF and am a former teacher of multi-handicapp
ed. I am an ASL Interpreter and adjunct at LIU and the course I teach is Students with Special Needs (but a better name would be Disabilities 101) as it is less for classroom teachers and more about Disability culture and includes a lot of narrative from people with disabilities and parents.
I am a play skills therapist for parents and children and also a part-time SLP grad student. Love to meet you for coffee.
Welcome, Linda. As you probably saw, Catherine will be holding many gatherings in the coming months - so you should have many chances to hear more :-) You can also check the Videos page and her website for many free samples.
