This Meetup is designed to help people of all ages enrich their social relationships, increase creativity, enhance spontaneity, and meet new friends. This is not a superficial singles discussion; it’s an exclusive social experience based on the concepts of Erich Fromm, Abraham Maslow, Karen Horney, Albert Ellis, and other greats in humanistic philosophy and psychology. The philosopher Martin Buber said that life is an encounter with oneself, others and nature, but we need to have these encounters enhance warmth, mutual understanding and health. In this series of Meet-ups, on the third Friday of each month, we will explore all the many aspects of interaction and relationships that ultimately make our lives more gratifying and effective. With guidance from an experienced group moderator, participants will create an experiential dialogue of sharing and learning, followed by relaxed socializing and light refreshments. The program is based on many years of highly successful development at the Humanist Foundation; its leader and counselor Joseph B. David has professionally conducted hundreds of humanist growth workshops and seminars. The hectic pace and complexities of today’s life make this program a welcome setting for meeting like-minded people and exploring ideas together.
