Humanists Doing Good will be setting up a booth at the Palisade Bluegrass and Roots Festival. Around 2,500+ attendees are expected this year. The festival lasts from Friday the 14th to Sunday the 16th. We'll be helping spread awareness of both our organization and Humanism in general. We'll also encourage festival participants to fund good deeds that our volunteers can carry out in the future, such as spending time with nursing home residents and bringing them gifts. Volunteers staffing the booth will be provided with a festival pass while volunteering. Come on out to enjoy some great music, meet new people and help with our community outreach efforts. If you can volunteer for a shift at the festival, please contact us.

If you have a volunteer shirt to wear for this event, please do so. If you do not, we may be able to provide one for you for the duration of the event.

Thanks go out to Mary, Natasha, Wade, Robert, Stacy, Jessica, Evan and Velvet for volunteering during the festival! We hope everyone had a good time and appreciate the time and effort you all put into everything.

We needed to change up the volunteer schedule a little bit, but Meetup is not letting me alter the event posting at the moment for some reason (saves aren't changing anything). Saturday's 3:00 pm shift will be carried out by Robert and Stacy. Our family will show up at close to pick up everything. Sunday, we are currently planning on having Velvet bring all the items back for setup and to volunteer with Jessica for the morning shift instead of Todd.

Todd, do you have any preference for the date/time you'd like to help out?

Yes, tomorrow before 5 or so. Want to avoid the Relay for Life window

So far I'm thinking that we can probably best use you for a shift on Sunday. We'll see who else we have volunteering and try to finalize shifts for everyone. If a different day happens to work better for you though, just let me know.

Tasha, I'll shoot you a private message about it. Essentially you'll have your choice though. We like to give the first volunteers the first dibs on any possible shifts. Thanks for volunteering and hopefully it will be a chance to meet new people and listen to some good music.

I'd like to volunteer. Do you have shifts established? Just let me know. :) Saturday or Friday would be best for me.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
