Hiking the Pet-e-Kes Trail

It's time to emerge from winter's hibernation with our first hike of the year. We'll be hiking the Pet-e-Kes trail just off Monument Road in the Redlands area of Grand Junction. The trail is rated as easy-moderate with a distance of about 3.3 miles. It has about a 400 foot elevation change. We'll be doing the hike at a leisurely pace and well-behaved/socialized dogs are welcome.

We will meet at the Tabeguache Lunch Loop Trailhead parking lot. Be sure to arrive early or on time, as we will depart promptly. Please bring sufficient food and drink to meet your needs and anything else you might require. This is a fair weather event and will be postponed in the event of poor weather conditions.

Sorry to hear that you can't make this hike, but we'll certainly be scheduling more in the future. It's great to know you have musical talents. Maybe one day we'll be able to put together a musical group of HDG members. Maybe I can talk Velvet and Wade into doing some more practice on their djembe drums.

I'm bringing my two dawgs. So, when I RSVP, do I count them as equivalent to four humans because they have a total of 8 feet? :)

Haha I think just a count of one will be sufficient for this trip. :) I'm looking forward to meeting your furry friends.
