Hungry Thirsty Walkers enjoy combining an outdoor walk experience with lovely food and drink.
Our walks are planned for metropolitan Melbourne and some outlying areas on designated tracks, not roadways. The walks are typically 3 hours duration, and are intended to be brisk exercise, going at a pace of 5 to 6 km/h for 3 hours. Having stragglers going at a slower pace falling behind causes problems......so it's important that you can maintain that pace to stay with the group.
Members need to assess their level of fitness and suitability to participate - we are not power-walkers, but we don't stroll !
Then we end the event with a hearty cafe lunch & a little socialising.
The members' involvement makes the group a success, so it won't be the Organiser who plans each of the events. After walking with us, members are encouraged to propose an event - come up with a location & a route, research a suitable lunchery, & then contact the Organiser so that you can be made an Event Host, and the Organiser will give you the support you need.
