How do you create trust? Ann Hawkins leads this topic.

There is a £5 fee payable on the door to cover refreshments and room hire. This goes directly to the animal charity.

How do you create trust?

The internet has changed many things and the demand for opennesses and transparency is just one of them.

Social networks have provided the impetus for change but the most successful businesses are using these tools to change behaviours. The tools don't work until we get the behaviours right. Instead of customers we need partners and collaborators. Instead of looking for people to sell to, we need to find people who believe what we believe and who want us to work with them.

Since Feb 2013 Ann has interviewed the very best social media strategists from around the world forThe Social Media Show. This has revealed some startling changes in the way that big brands are spending their million dollar budgets. One of those revelations is that big businesses need to be more open and personal - an advantage that small businesses already have.

Don't throw away your advantage - come and learn how to use it!

This is the blog post based on today's discussion with links to some of the things I talked about: http://annhawkins.com/2014/07/trust-is-built-in-your-behaviour-not-in-your-message/

Sorry but I have 2 meetings tomorrow morning and I can't see how to fit everything in. Ann I was really looking forward to this as it is something of key importance to us at the moment. Any chance for a follow up digested limited version, not as good but best I could hope for????

Hello Everybody. I have SO missed you the last couple of months while I have been ill. Thought you'd like to know that I am better now (just in the last couple of days). I would have loved to have to have come on Friday, but have a team meeting over in Northampton that day. I'm not able to make August either but look forward very much to seeing you all in September. Ann, your comment on the trust and authenticity in this group is spot on. Hugs to all of you! Mary

Hello all, sadly I'll be missing this one too! I have a meeting at Head Office in Worcester, hoping to meet one of our Directors, Mr. Poundland himself, Steve Smith. What a pity to miss this one, it would have been interesting to compare Mr Smiths views with ours! Have a good one everyone!

Ann completely agree. When trying out networking some groups are hard to get into as all the members know each other from a long time. They make it hard work. This group is definitely not like this!

I was preparing for this talk and realised that one of the things that makes this group such a joy is that we all trust each other and that means we can be open and vulnerable and authentic.
Looking forward to catching up with everyone!

I've enjoyed listening to these programmes Ann, and picked up a few ideas to use to help me promote my business. This will be a good discussion for people at every level.
