    "The Observatory is a two-story building. Lots of viewing windows with installed binoculars throughout the Observatory."

    "Lots of waterfowl. Fish & Wildlife plants corn which creates a seasonal stopover for all the migrating birds coming down and then making their way back up to Canada."

    "We saw several of the endangered whooping cranes. The 2-story cozy and comfortable observatory station is a stunningly beautiful place to watch all the waterfowl."

    "Some of us had lunch at the Cracker Barrel afterwards. I had their perfectly yummy dumplings with other vegs, cornbread, and steaming coffee. So delicious! Thanks Liz, for such a fabulous event!"

    "There are two places named for Joe Wheeler, a civil war general - Joe Wheeler State Park and Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge. The state park is obviously run by the state. It is located on the north side of the TN River...."
