Subject: [bike-252] Hon'ble Governor to be Chief Guest at Bicyclone 2013 to Sunday the 29th Sept.

Dear Gals & Guys,
I am delighted to inform you that our Hon’ble Governor Sri E S L Narasimhan confirmed to be our Chief Guest at our cycling event viz., Bicyclone 2013 on Sunday the 29th September, 2013.  Further Ms Geeta Reddy, Minister for Major Industries,  Mr Maheedhar Reddy, Minister for Municipal Administration, Mr Majid Hussain, Mayor, GHMC along with a galaxy of stalwarts would also be participating in this event.  I am further happy to inform you that Mr Manfred Neun, President, European Cycling Federation also would be riding with us at this event along with several other dignitaries.
If you have not already registered, please do so immediately.  There is no entry fee for HBC members though for others it is Rs 1000/-. All you have to do is to register yourself on the Meetup site for one of the three rides the links for which are given below.
You would be part of a memorable ride in addition to getting a T shirt, snack pack & en route support.  You are required to be at the venue by 6: 15 am for security reasons.
Please block your diary as above and join us in large numbers and make this event a grand success.  I also would like to share another good news. Our HBC crossed the 4000 members milestone. Three cheers to HBC.
Just ride,

Subject: Postponement of Bicyclone 2013 to Sunday the 29th Sept.
Dear Gals & Guys,
Due to unavoidable reasons, we have been advised by our partner Government agencies to postpone our prestigious & eco friendly event viz. Bicyclone 2013 from 22nd Sept to 29th Sept, 2013. Though we are ready for the event, we are left with no option other than to postpone our event to Sunday the 29th Sept, 2013 accordingly.
Regret the inconvenience, if any, due to the above postponement & seek your cooperation & understanding.
Since there is more time now, I trust there will be much larger participation at the above event.  Please note that except the date there is no change in the programme structure as well as the composition of the rides on that day viz., 10 kms, 25 kms & 60 kms.
If you have not already registered for one of the above three rides, please do so ASAP.
Just ride,

Subject: Good news!!!!!!
Dear Gals & Guys,
Good news!!!!!!
a)  Our Gachibowli Bike Station (opp Bio Diversity Complex and next to Quality Inn Pearl Hotel) is nearly ready. Due to continuous rains, the construction took a little longer. Finally it has come out very well.  It is fully enclosed and has toilets for ladies and gents and provision for snacks & beverages counter. It has well landscaped parks on either side and newly laid cemented approach roads.  Thanks to GHMC for all this.  We would be positioning 250 bikes which have just arrived.  Thanks to Hyderabad Metro Rail for the same.
I am glad to inform you that our Hon’ble Chief Minister would be launching the above Bike Station on Sunday the 22nd September, 2013.  We would have a big celebration and a very colorful bicycle rally with about 1000 cyclists which would be flagged off by the Chief Minister .  We would have fully supported rides of 10 kms, 25 kms and 50 kms. We would be posting the event details soon on the Meetup.  Please block your diary and join the festivities as well as the colorful rides as above.
We are sure that the above initiative would further promote the Cycling To Work mission that HBC has taken up along with APIIC, GHMC, HMR, Police & the Corporates in Cyberabad.
b) As part of the exclusive CII team, I met H. E. Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay, Prime Minister of Bhutan on 3rd Sept. I found him to be a great cycling enthusiast.  He invited HBC to organize cycling rides in Bhutan and he promised that he also would ride along with us and take us to some of the most picturesque places in Bhutan on Cycle.  We accepted his invite and HBC would be organizing a cycling expedition to Bhutan in the near future based on good weather conditions there.
Just Ride,
