This is a special event that I am cohosting with an expert in plant-based eating, also known as 'living food' or 'raw food' featuring her delicious raw vegan pad thai (I've had it, it's absolutely mouthwatering!) as well as decadent yet entirely nutritious desserts and beverages.

I will be offering 'guided meditation' (guided self hypnosis) to optimize our understanding of the past, present, and future with respect to personal pain and goals. The themes in this work will be inner child, emotional awareness, and sensory awareness (3 known paths to healing/awakening).

About the Facilitators

Dr. Rhea Mehta is a toxicologist and published author whose greatest pleasures include stretching, experimenting with living foods and practicing mindfulness. After years of suffering from chronic back pain and digestive issues and feeling misguided by the medical system, Rhea embarked on her healing journey. Coinciding with her doctoral study of nutrient-based therapy in the Western Diet, Rhea decided to investigate her own symptoms naturally through extensive research, discipline and self-experimentation.

Over the years, her health and mental clarity have improved dramatically. Healing is a process, however, and Rhea continues on the path to optimal health, learning and adapting each day. From curiosity to passion, Rhea has become a thought leader in the wellness domain and a dedicated living foodist. Her life mission is to influence and empower people to wake up and smell the green juice - in food, in thought and in action.

Tanya Pillay facilitates personal development for groups and individuals using principles of self hypnosis and a variety of meditative techniques. Her approach to optimizing eating habits includes increasing awareness of our food motivations and needs, broadening our sensory experience of food, reframing our limiting beliefs about food, completely feeling all emotions, and cultivating a practice of healthy personal pleasure so that we do not rely solely on food for comfort.

Healthy eating eluded her for years until she actively explored ways to replicate her favourite flavours with nutritious alternatives to the ‘Standard American Diet’ as well as learning to thoroughly enjoy food choices that are less than ideal when they are on the table.
