I created this program in response with my personal meditation needs and frustrations with other methods. Meditation can and should be easy and customizable, don't you think? Let's share our obstacles and needs followed by a guided group meditation using an amalgamation of mindfulness and hypnosis techniques.
- attended an introduction to mindfulness and found it frustrating or difficult
- didn’t experience any benefit from vipassana or similar forms of breath-based meditation after your first attempt
- find it hard to fit meditation fit into our busy modern world, or
- experience your thoughts as running out of control,
my approach to mindfulness (noting qualities of experience) will be a great next step for you.
What: As with most of my workshops, the content is open-ended so that each person in the group can 'fill-in-the-blanks' mentally as they wish. Designed for use occasionally or daily with the ultimate goal of practicing self-guided mindfulness meditation that can be done anywhere at any time. Results can vary but usually include increased inner peace, tranquility, and increased ease in life.
When: Tuesday August 6, 2013, 7-8:30pm
Where: We are welcomed by the founder of (Pause) Beauty Boutique, Michelle Palmer, at 991 Bloor Street West (Toronto) who brings loving awareness to her work with the outer body just as we will be endeavouring to cultivate it within.
Cost: Pay what you can, recommended $10, pay in advance to secure your spot or first come, first served (15 spaces available).
