Let's Meetup & Watch "No Tears For The Dead" Starring Jang Dong Gun

"No Tears for the Dead" is a film-noir which stars Jang Dong Gun (A Gentleman's Dignity) and Kim Min Hee (A Very Ordinary Couple).   "No Tears for the Dead" is directed by Lee Jong Beom who is renown for the 2010 film "The Man from Nowhere."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WocvwKaYi0s

Jang Dong Gun portrays the veteran hit man Gon, who is assigned the task of killing Mogyeong (Kim Min Hee).  Instead of following through with his orders, Gon falls in love with Mogyeong.

"No Tears for the Dead" will open in the U.S. on June 20, following its June 5 opening in Korea.

Get prepared for Friday by checking out DramaFever's article on "No Tears for the Dead."

 http://www.dramafever.com/news/jang-dong-guns-no-tears-for-the-dead-is-coming-to-america/

I had a chance to screen the film for review for Kdramastars and it is definitely a tearjerker.

Jang Dong Gun is eye candy for the ladies, but "No Tears the Dead" is definitely an action packed film noir.

"No Tears for the Dead" will screen at 8:10PM at the AMC Empire 25.

Tickets should be purchased in advance.

I will be at the theater at 6:30PM for those who arrive early.  We will play 6 Degrees of  K-Movie, K-Drama & K-Pop during this time and get to know one another.

Please arrive no later than 7:50PM to allow adequate time to travel up to pick up tickets and to travel to the movie theater from the ground floor.

We will be meeting at KumGangSan (49 West 32nd St.) in Koreatown following the film.  Attendees who are unable to walk from the AMC Empire to Koreatown may take the N-R Subway line to 34th Street Herald Square.

Did you make it AC? I left as soon as it finished didn't stay around for the Q&A with the director as I didn't want to get home too late. At least I got a chance to see him before the movie started he said hello to the audience and I even got a pic, although far since I was sitting in the last top row, I like the view from up there. I really enjoyed the movie. I have a couple more I want to go and see on Fri. and Sat.

Thank you to the Ahjumma Seoul Sisters, who were visiting from the West Coast, for donating two Block B tickets as part of the trivia prize! Thank you, Estar, for the great buttons! It was wonderful seeing everyone wearing them throughout the meetup. Jean provided a great suggestion for the next film meetup! I will check to find out the earlier time we can get into the theater in order to hold the trivia games, there. That will make it much easier to hear and participate. I am also in the process of exploring other restaurants, cafes, etc. for before or after the meetup.
