Since we'll have read and discussed the book by now, let's meet to watch the movie and compare the two mediums. I'm leaning toward the 1997 version as it is said to be more true to the book, but if anyone really wants to watch the Kubrick adaptation state your case and we'll watch the 1997 version anyway (kidding!). Popcorn, soda, and other movie-type fare will be provided; feel free to bring whatever you like.
