How about "The Pale King" by David Foster? It was one of the novels that could have won the Pulitzer in this year of no winner for fiction. Foster is quite dead though...

Dracula was bought up again...could add for our thriller/horror book choices for October?

also could try and see if anyone wants to read anything by George Eliot? not silas marner!

Lillie, I've added The Mill on the Floss (not Silas Marner!) to the list, and I still have Dracula on there. I think we can come up w some other fun October alternatives :-)
