American born, English raised Adam Bohanan takes a great new look at the singer/songwriter category. With the mixture of folk, R&B, jazz and funk influences; Adams music is continuously changing and evolving. His love for a variety of different styles of music is shown in the array of diverse genres he applies to the songs in his catalogue.

With a soulful voice and stimulating lyrics, he is a great story teller who allows the listener to enjoy every word. He attributes his musical aptitude and his ability to jump from one genre to the next, to his migration around the world from a young age; giving him a strong assortment of styles.

His Israeli influence is apparent in such songs as ?I?m not being a man for you? in which he utilizes his knowledge of the Hebrew language that he picked up during the 5 years he spent in Israel. Although his racial ambiguity is not limited to his environment, as he notes in his song ?Oreo?, a song he wrote about being half African American.

Adam holds to the fact that all his songs to date have a story behind them, you can tell where he was in his life not only by the gradual evolution into more difficult guitar playing; but also the subject matter in his lyrics. Though he keeps some of his more intimate stories to himself, you can still understand the idea by the vocabulary in his songs.

Adam is gradually setting up a stronghold in the New York City indie music scene. Playing to the open mic crowds in Manhattan and Brooklyn, and is branching out to the rest of the state.
