New Moon Gathering

It's time for this October's New Moon Gathering where we will look at the chart for the Lunar month. Note that the New Moon is on October 4th, and since we always do the New Moon Gathering the Saturday before the actual new moon, it falls on the last Saturday of September.

Anyone attending who would like to additionally see what their focus will be for the month, we will be happy to look at your chart with a donation to the Center. Using your Personal chart, it helps to leave with a monthly goal...or, a clue of what to expect.

If this is your first time, and you want your chart read for the upcoming month, bring your birth data: time, place of birth and date. (If you're a regular, we have your data safe, sound and private!)

We bring a lot to this event to show our appreciation of you...

Show your appreciation of us with a $10 Donation...

I did donate the $10.00 to the New Moon Gathering. I think the jar or basket should be passed around as well so that people remember to donate. I agree with Joanne, if you don't want to pass the jar or basket, an announcement sounds like a great idea!! It is always good to give back when you receive, and there was some very important information shared at Saturday's event. I think special arrangements can be made ahead of time with Ena if it is not affordable for someone. Charity begins at home!! God Bless

That's a great idea, Pattie...I would understand anyone who said they want to come, but can't afford to give...Or, like Heidi, gives what they can. It's not that we're materialistic, but the landlord and local utilities/merchants aren't as forgiving.

Thank you ALL for responding! It means a lot! And each suggestion will be considered.

Another option is to ask for the donation at the start of class. When the day ends, ppl are eager to go about their business so starting with the donation is best. I still feel passing a basket is a better option. Just try each option and see which works. Or have someone collecting donations at the door prior to class. I just feel that if you open the class with the donation, you would get more. Meanwhile, test out what is being mentioned in all the comments here and see what works.

I believe Julene is specifically against putting a price on these meetings or forcing people to pay, because she believes that it would be mixing the materialistic energy with our energy of setting intentions for the upcoming month. She gives more than she receives every month, and she believes that everyone does too. I hope we all will measure up to this spiritual view of people and of the world. We are very lucky to have the center here in our home town and staffed with two amazing astrologers and persons. Let's keep the flow of energy and the flow of material rewards flowing! We are not getting anything in if we stop the flow. Start the flow, and it will come back to you multiplied.

Ena, Did the donation jar bring in more for IAA than you received in the past? I would think that the location of the jar and the suggested donation amount would have helped. If you want, I can make an announcement at the next New Moon Gathering that the jar is in the hallway and that contributions are required to keep this going...and that a $10 donation would be greatly appreciated. If that doesn't work, start charging for it!

It would be hard for me to come if the class was charged for, I think. I donate $5 each week. I'm unemployed still really. I put $3 and $2 in quarters in this week. $5 is better than nothing. I suggest passing the jar or a bowl around. THAT has power. It puts it right in your face. A small wicker bowl would be quiet too. I think ppl forget as it is not on their minds and it is behind the teacher. First class I attended, I didn't find it.

Yes Joanne, the jar you made for the New Moon Gathering was great! Everyone who put $ in there, put in $10. What disappointed me was that only about half the attendees contributed. I did find what your contributed in the basket at the back, Heidi, and that was a great contribution, too (it gave me much needed change that is so beneficial when making change for my weekly classes). I'm also not saying that $10 is mandatory; there have certainly been times in my life that I could give, but not what was expected. But on the other hand, $10/person doesn't begin to equal the energy that was given, month after month by Julene. As an internationally respected astrologer, her knowledge/energy should at least be respected with a respected exchange. We are asking you to mainly show your appreciation.

Again, a great group! I do wish everyone realized that it's expensive to keep a Center going. Only half of the attendees are carrying the load.

I put $ 10.00 in the donation jar. I think it is very fair to ask for the donation as you are taking time out of your day to interpret our charts. Not to mention, you provide snacks as well. I really enjoyed the session!

Thank you very much, Kathy. You contribution was indeed noted and appreciated! It's with your and the other's generosity that will pay the 1st's bills. We are non-profit, as well as being a new venture. We humbly appreciate those who appreciate our efforts to bring our knowledge to you.

I was very happy to have my new moon chart interpreted for me. I definitely need to learn more about Astrology. It is a fascinating subject! I enjoyed meeting other people that are also interested in astrology. I will definitely come back for some future new moon gatherings!

I think everyone who is "not carrying the load" should start understanding that when you only take take take and don't give away or give back, you accumulate a bad karma. Your best new moon predictions will not come true!
Great New Moon gathering, Ena! Both you and Julene are so great, incredibly wise and generous!

I was unable to attend last month and I really missed being there. Hopefully everything has settled down enough that I can attend on September 28th. Thanks so much for offering us this opportunity to learn.
