Delineating Planets in a Sign and House & The Role of Planets as House Rulers &

hours each week and will begin exactly on time.
You will have homework each week for to bring to the next class, part of it will be general questions for the understanding of the material and part of it will be delineating your chart. The first half hour of class will be for going over the homework. The remaining 60-90 minutes will be talking about the week’s topic (except for week one which will be 2 hours on the week’s topic). After the review of the homework, the lesson part of class will be audio recorded in mp3 format and sent to you within 48 hours of class via email to download if you want them.
Required Materials: Notebook, pen or pencil and your chart. If you do not have your chart, email your birth data (Name, date mm/dd/yy, city, state and time of birth) to Julene at least 24 hours before the first class begins so she can bring your chart to the first class
for you. Class time will not be spent printing charts. [masked]
–Review of the Building Blocks: Review the elements and modalities of the signs that you learned in the first class. You will need to memorize these. We will learn the essential dignities of the planets (rulership, exaltation, detriment & fall) and learn why this is important in delineation. Homework: Answer the questions on the worksheet.
Week 2 –
Delineating a Planet in a Sign: We will begin to separate out the archetypes into planet, sign & house with this week’s focus on planets & signs. Planets are verbs or action that you the subject of the horoscope and sentence are doing. Signs are the adverbs describing how the action is being expressed. We will discuss the actions that each planet represents and you will learn how to delineate a planet in a sign. Homework: Answer the questions on the worksheet.
Week 3 –
Delineating a Planet in a House: We will continue to separate out the archetypes into planet, sign & house with this week’s focus on who or what is in each house. Houses are the nouns of the people and things that are in that area of life – the object. We will discuss the objects of each area of life represented by the houses and you will learn to delineate a planet in a house. Homework: Answer the questions on the worksheet.
Week 4 –
Delineating a Planet in a Sign & House: We will form astrological sentences by putting planet, sign and house together in an accurate statement. Homework: Answer the questions on the worksheet.
Week 5 & 6 - Planets as House lords: House lords generate the objects of that house, they are the provider of the objects in that house. A planet becomes a noun as the lord or provider of the objects of house. The sign of the planet then becomes an adjective that tells you how they generate the objects of that house. You will learn how planets function as house rulers. This is a little more complicated so we will spend two weeks on this. Homework: Answer the questions on the worksheet.
Dispositors: You will learn the importance of the planet the rules the sign another planet is in. You will learn how to add that in to your delineations. Homework: Answer the questions on the worksheet.
Week 8 - Retrograde & Intercepted Planets: You will learn the similarities and difference between retrograde & intercepted planets. You will learn the astronomical cause of retrogrades & interceptions. Homework: Answer the questions on the worksheet.
Week 9 –
Summary & Review: In the last class we will work with charts of famous people to apply everything you have learned so far. Homework: None
Julene Packer-Louis is a graduate of International Academy of Astrology and is also certified by International Society of Astrological Research (ISAR). She's been an instructor at IAA since 2000 and she has been teaching advanced courses in the Diploma Module at the Academy since 2003. She is a world lecturer and travels about the US and abroad, lecturing at conferences and teaching workshops for astrological organizations. As the CEO
of the Academy, she's the primary administrator of the school, along with overseeing the teaching of more than a dozen instructors.
