Tour the Watson lab!

  • Jun 18, 2014 · 6:30 PM
  • IBM

We'll take the Watson conversation to the next level by touring the Austin lab. You'll see a replica of the system used on Jeopardy as well as see some demonstrations of Watson in action in different fields. It's a great opportunity to get a deeper view into IBM's cognitive solutions and we'll have people on hand to answer your questions.

Refreshments will be provided.

Very well organized and coordinated with such a large group. I really liked the 3 areas that we covered and an overview of all the applications. In the future, would like to see more deep dives into a of those. Great event!

Thanks to all who attended last night's tour! I hope you got as much out of it as I did. The lab team definitely has some cool stuff going on.

I'd like to follow WATSON with regard to biotech. Any suggestions as to where to do that?

Thanks for organizing this, Cheri. It was very well done. I was especially impressed by Ray's ability to carry on when the screen and projector abandoned us.

    Hi Everyone!
Hope you're looking forward to this Wednesday's Tour of the Watson Lab. The Meetup will be in the Longhorn Room next to the lobby of IBM's Executive Briefing Center which is in Building 904 (it's the Center building with fountain and covered area in front).

It's the same building as the last event.

Are there any parking restrictions we should know about or can we park anywhere after hours?

Bill, the finalists will be announced at IBM Innovate on June 3, 2014, so definitely stay posted. We're going to videotape the finalists who come to Orlando, so hopefully we can share this footage with you on June 18th.

Will we be able to see at least some of the finalists in the Watson Mobile Competition?
