This groups focus is changing. Not in a big way, but it is going to change. We are still a group lead by women for women of all skill levels. In-shop clinics and classes will be a huge part of this group still. Flat clinics will be back on monthly with the options for many more. The change that will be occurring will be the types of rides we will be doing. The rides will switch to a more adventure oriented format. Let's get out of town! Get on some gravel. Ride to some local farms. Hit up Sugar Bottom mountain bike trails. Go camping! Iowa City is a great place to ride, but once you get out of town you really get to experience Iowa. The rides will be mostly off of the pavement. Events like the Culinary Ride and even RAGBRAI are adding gravel for more adventure, and there is good reason.

Personally I am a Salsa Cycles sponsored rider and this is my passion. This type of riding and exploring where I live is what I want to share with this group. If this means you no longer want to be apart of the rides I would at least ask that you come to the clinics! They are not changing.

Winter rides will be fat-bike rides. We have bikes here at the shop to borrow for the rides and I can honestly say the fat bike is my favorite bike. It is the most confidence instilling bike I have ever been on.

Spring, summer, and fall we will focus on learning how to ride gravel and mountain bikes.

There is no need for a specific bicycle or gear. The rides are not meant to be as far as possible, but as fun as possible. The rides may seem grand, but getting outside of your comfort zone is how you grow!
