Last month's meetup saw fascinating discussions about open source tech for villages, emergency permaculture and the shortcomings of the existing NGO model. And of course, as we enjoyed the view along to Tower Bridge, there was lots of discussion of events in and around the G20 summit.

What will happen this time? It's up to you - and up to events. Depending on how the swine flu situation pans out, we could be meeting in the middle of a global pandemic, or in the middle of the backlash against the media for crying wolf. So one theme we might consider is how social media - and old media - handle the subtlety of risk around major global threats.

Meanwhile, stay safe - and remember the Flu Code:

Seibik. Yes it is - GlueSniffers is about bringing together people interested in ICT for development, who are keen to work out how to address issues in developing countries by interconnecting different initiatives through IT, extending networks and building and sharing capabilities. It's about breaking 'business as usual' thinking that leaves many projects floundering. Hope to see you on Monday. Cheers, Mark.

Ihave just been a new member what attracted me was the fact that this organisation is aimed at helping developing countries use ICT to develop. Is that the case? Seibik Accra
