Dinner at the Restaurant at Kellogg Ranch.

The RKR is the advanced restaurant lab class for students graduating from Cal Poly Pomona's Collins College of Hospitality Management. They're open during the academic year (October-early December/January-March/April-early June) for lunch and dinner. Food is great, and it's a chance to see students, many of them local, strut their stuff.

For the Oct 24th dining, IE Foodies has a room reserved and can accommodate up to 35 people.

Attendees must prepay $45 per person (4-course meal, beverage, tax, tip)

The salad, fish and veggies were delicious. My serving of meat was tough and gristley.

Was wondering I was confirmed for the dinner , but I wanted to increase the number of guest with me to two, if it's possible. If someone can reply please.

I (Pam) was on a project in Providence, RI, and stayed at the Johnson & Wales Inn (culinary school - Seekonk, MA) for 18 months. Oh, my, goodness! I enjoyed every pound I put on!

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone there! The RKR is my 'home' restaurant, and I'm pretty proud of how these students demonstrate our 'learn-by-doing' philosophy.

Hi, This is a great dining experience. A few things; the map is wrong. It gives the location of Kellogg Ranch on Temple. It is not. Kellogg Ranch is Horse Hill Dr. If you're on Temple, turn into campus at S. University Dr., there is a light there. Take that for about 1/2 mile and at a very small street on the right called Horse Hill Dr, make a right and follow the go road to the top of the hill to the restaurant, which is in the Collins School of Hospitality. (You went too far if you see classroom buildings.) Free parking in that parking lot at the top of the hill. Dinner prices ranged from $35-$45 when I went, for a three course meal. They had beef, chicken, fish and veggie options.

For a surprisingly good dining option at a college dining hall, we should try the Pitzer College Dining Hall for dinner. Still a good deal at $16 for adults. http://www.insidesocal.com/davidallen/2009/11/19/restaurant-of-the-week-mcconne-1/?doing_wp_cron=1380263111.8880488872528076171875

I'm a newbie. Are there still openings for the Kellogg Ranch Restaurant event?

    August 19, 2013

    • Dale M

Hi Donna! The room capacity is 30, so that is our limit. I will send out RSVP reminders closer to the event, as many times people's plans change. There is a good possibility that spots will open up.
