Hiking Colinas Bluffs - Beginner + / Intermediate Level

This is a beginner +/intermediate hike. This dirt trail follows the ridge south from Camino Los Padres where it is aligned along the east side of Golden Lantern. Much of the trail exists within the boundaries of the city of San Juan Capistrano and equestrians from several of the nearby stables often use portions of this trail. The trail affords impressive views over Laguna Niguel, San Juan Capistrano, Dana Point and the Ocean. Check out the major San Juan estates.

Approx 7.5 miles w/ 1,076' climbing gain. We will be keeping a beginner + pace to be taking in all the fabulous views. Plan on 3.5 hours.

No hiker left behind, please bring the 10 essentials. Lots of water required for this hike it gets very hot out there. We will be meeting in the patio at Starbucks. If you have any questions please email me, or call me at (657) 229-HIKE (4453). I usually respond within a couple of hours or sooner.

This hike is cross-posted with my other groups. The attendance on this site does not reflect the total number of anticipated attendees. Thanks, Dennis.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
