How did you learn about this group? Examples: web search, saw a t-shirt or bumper sticker, etc.

I saw members wearing T-Shirts at a Skeptic Society lecture in Pasadena

How do you identify yourself? Atheist, agnostic, humanist, bright, etc.

I'm atheist. Religion... the bible... God... NEVER made sense to me, even as a child when I tried to believe just so I'd fit in. I continued "trying to fit in" and identified as agnostic into my 40's until I no longer felt pressed to conform and realized I wasn't unsure of anything -- I was quite sure in my non-belief and I was self-assured enough to lay claim to that. I tend not to subscribe to any kind of mystical, magical thinking, be it god, superstition, paranormal phenomena, psychic powers, auras, reincarnation, karma, conspiracy theories, astrology.

What do you hope to get out of this group?

Possible local events/activities. I'm in the high desert and there's not a lot of intellectually stimulating activities here.
