Warhammer 40k [Open Game Day]

Warhammer 40k [Open Game Day] The Fourth Saturday of Every month will be a Warhammer 40k Game. It will also be an Open Game Day for those who want to get together and play something else. What we are looking for is a game that 2-6 people can play in an hour or so. We also have a growing Magic the Gathering group. We have 1-3 Tables available at any time. Bring Drinks and Snacks for the group. We will break for dinner somewhere between 5-6 if we have not finished the game.

 This will be the defalt game at least until the end of the year. if someone wishes to do thier own senereo either makle the changes yourself [letting us all know there was a change] or if you are not "Staff" make a sugestion.

Step-1: POINTS LIMIT & CHOOSE FORCES

This will be an 2,000 point game using the Standard 6th Edition Rules

Standard FOC will be used

Ø       You should if you have it available take one of each FOC Slot.

Ø       You should take one Psyker if you can [I know I am]

Ø       Allies will be available: You Primary Detachment must cost more than you Ally Detachment.

Ø       Fortifications will be available.

Notes:

Q     If there is an odd number of players; one player will be given a second Army to play. This will be a secondary army and should be different from his/her 1st army.

Q     If there is an even number of players we will be using the Pact of Blood option for the Mission

 

Step-2: PREPARE THE BATTLEFIELD

Terrain will be determined by the rolled Mission

 

Step-3: THE MISSION

This will be a standard randomized mission.

MISSIONSPECIAL RULES:

We will be using a few experimental rules if they come up.

Flakk Missiles:

Q     If one side has more than one Flyer and the other side has none Flakk missiles will available for free.

Q     Otherwise Flakk Missiles will be available for all your Missile Launchers for 5 points per Launcher. All Missile Launcher in the Unit must upgrade, but not every unit has to.

Plasma Cannons:

Q     We are going to experiment with using the WHFB Artillery die for Plasma Cannon Deviation Distance. Rool the die and subtract distance as normal, if the Explosion shows, the “Gets Hot” Rules comes into play.

Spearhead Formations:

Q     If you take no Allies or Fortification you may choose to take One Spearhead Formation. [No Epic Vehicles Please]
