Since 1919, The Illinois Federation of Business Women's Club (IFBPWC) has been empowering working women to achieve their full potential through advocacy, education, and information. The Downtown Chicago IFBWC Chapter formed in the Fall of 2007. We are an all-volunteer, membership-based organization, comprised of professional women of all ages and professions. We meet in downtown Chicago for monthly for brown bag lunches and occasional after-work events Meeting topics are focused on issues impacting working women including legislative issues, cancer awareness, art in the workplace, international business fairs, writing a bio, social networking, wage parity and marketing yourself at work. Past community outreach programs have included career exploration for girls, programs for women in transition and working with local college students on their interview skills. We also support a student group at Northwestern University with job shadowing and mentoring. Programs are supported by nominal annual membership fees, but are open to non-members as well. By joining our meetup group, you will receive notices of upcoming meetings. We hope you'll attend one of our meetings, join as a paid member a help continue this 100 year+ tradition of Women Helping Women. Meeting dates: 2nd Thursday of each month @ 12 Noon.
