PitchForce and PeopleConnect are partnering with USMac and Czech ICT Alliance, a Czech Republic government organization, to conduct a PitchForce type event on Tuesday, May 7 from 5-8 PM at RocketSpace (181 Fremont, SF).
There will be 8 European high tech startups participating.
The panel will include:
Victor Belfor | 500 Startups
Victor’s career has been focused on “front of the house” activities (go-to-market strategy, marketing, sales and business development) in a B2B environment. He loves tinkering with incentives, business models, messaging, developing synergies with partners and delivering value to customer. Over the years he’s held founding or executive roles at several startups with 2 successful exits. Currently, Victor is the VP of Business Development at Influitive. Influitive is a marketing automation company founded by the original founder of Eloqua and funded by Lightspeed, First Round, NEA, Hummer Winblad and Relay. When he’s not doing this, you can find him mentoring up and coming entrepreneurs at 500 Startups, cooking, diving, traveling, or locked in a contest of wills with his 4 year old daughter (which she inevitably wins).
Eric Ferraro | LeClairRyan
Eric is a shareholder in the San Francisco office of LeClairRyan, where he leads the firm's Emerging Companies and Venture Capital practice. Eric focuses his practice on the representation of private and public technology and media companies, founders and investors in connection with entity formation and founder arrangements, venture capital finance, commercial and intellectual property transactions, mergers and acquisitions and public offerings. In addition to his legal practice, Eric is a former digital meda company founder (sold to a division of Sony Entertainment in 2012) and an active angel investor. Eric is routinely recognized as a Super Lawyer by Law & Politics Magazine, and is a regular judge and panelist at a wide range of technology pitch competitions and demo days.
Paul Weiss | Wylan Capital
Paul is one of an early generation of lease portfolio acquisition experts going back to the 1980s, ultimately leading over $4 billion of equipment portfolio and company purchases. He was a major shareholder in the leveraged buyout of ICON Capital in 1996, which during his tenure as President went from a small player to the most successful leasing fund manager in history in terms of capital raised. In 2007, after 20 years in the equipment leasing business, Paul was named by Leasing News as one of the industry’s 25 most important lifetime dealmakers.
